Two Freebies!

Hey all!  So I received two freebies and coupons with each of the samples this week!  One was Olay Whip moisturizer and the other was Breathe Right nasal strips.  I have used the nasal strips before receiving this sample and they do help with my snoring and opening up my nasal passages.  I will add these 2 strips to my collection and use the $1.00 off coupon for my next purchase.  I’ve never tried the Olay Whip moisturizer so I look forward to trying it out and will be posting my review on Instagram soon (don’t forget to follow me @stacyslivingroom).

Have I convinced you to try sending for freebies yet???  No?  Stick around and you may change your mind!

Till next time…I’ll see ya soon!

Free Sample Update

Hey all. So I started sending for free samples from a few websites. I found a website called Sweet Free Stuff and it has a bunch of different companies who send out freebies. I wish I could remember every company that I requested freebies from but I know that one of them was a Clay Mask sample from Sephora. They sent me the email below 🙃

The other website that I signed up for is Sample Source. With this website, you sign up with your email address and they send you an email when freebies are available (side note: I recommend opening up a separate email address when you sign up for freebies and use it only for that so it doesn’t annoy the hell outta you in your primary email).

That’s all for now. Looking forward to getting my free samples and sharing with you what was sent to me!

Till next time….I’ll see ya soon!

A FREE Sample Experiment and Money Update

Hi all. So I decided to try a Free Sample Experiment. When you search the internet it’s amazing how many FREE things are out there for the taking. You just have to ask for it! Anything from makeup, to detergents, to food. I thought that the experiment would be fun and I’m curious to see the outcome and how long it would take to get the samples (plus, save some money). Anyone wanna play along?

MONEY UPDATE

We’ve been doing okay with saving money except I had to buy some new clothes for work which put us in the negative of about $100. Grocery shopping has been under $100 every week but more like $85-$90 a week instead of $70 (FAIL). I have to work harder on this. As for my clothes, the reason why I had to buy new clothes is that a few months ago I went through all of my clothes and either threw them away or donated them. Problem was, I never replaced them which caused a severe lack in my work wardrobe so the other day I went on the New York & Company website (which is one of my favorite places to shop) and there were a lot of items on sale! I used my Ebates app and got $7.50 back and also FREE shipping! I’m excited to receive some new blouses for work and freshen things up a bit. It is MUCH NEEDED!

I’ve saved about $80 a month on gas since I started working at my new job which is much closer to my house. The only thing that takes a chunk out of my gas tank is that I drive about 60 miles round trip for bowling once a week. And that’s fine, I enjoy bowling ….most of the time ;).

How’s everyone’s week going?

Till next time…I’ll see ya soon!

Changes, Routines and a New Job!

Is there anyone out there who actually LIKES change?  I know I don’t.  In fact I try to avoid it at all costs!  As I’ve gotten older, I’ve learned that change isn’t always a bad thing though. Sometimes it’s a door waiting to be opened that is going to enrich your life or it’s a door that becomes a huge risk that fails and you learn from it.

I think that it’s the “change of routine” that is scary to me.  I’m a very routine person and when there is a change, I panic.  Although I am able to adapt to the change, it takes me a while to start a new routine with the change.  Once that is done, I’m good…until the NEXT change! Exhausting!!

Just recently, I started a new job.  I was at my previous job for almost 7 years so this new step in my life was obviously scary to me (but MUCH needed).

What helped me through this change was the fact that 95% of the change would be positive to me and my family.  The other 5% was my fear of change!  Since the move to this new opportunity was a no brainer, the 5% was just an adjustment to a new routine, new people and new assignments.  After my first day on the job, the 95% became 100% really quick! Less stress, more money, 5 minute commute compared to a 30-40 minute commute and being able to come home for lunch. It’s a pretty good gig so far!!

And finally, I’d like to thank all the people who stood by my side and believed in me, before and during the job change. Life would be nothing without my cheerleaders!

Till next time…I’ll see ya soon!
